Open Design Italia Factory originates from a biennial event devoted entirely to self- produced design and small- series production, which aims to explore and to stimulate the growth of a fresh way of looking at design. Autoproducing designers, artisans, small/ medium businesses and consumers have led to think about a new need to to develop a different design market. Project Open Design Italia Factory is a (digital) production platform from Italian region Emilia, serving to bring together three subjects in the world of autoproduced design and self-limited series: those who design, those who produce and those who distribute. - those who design: designers, creatives, makers, enhancing tradition and future - those who produce: Companies who have know-how, production culture, networks of entreprenurial relationships and wish to renew their business model and offer, articulating their production capacity. -those who distribute-consume: those individuals or communities seeking new forms of identity and relationships with the world of design, creating spaces (social netwoks, digital platforms) to build new market models.
